Nose Re-Surgery

Five-week update after complete removal

I am five weeks into recovery after removal surgery. Nothing unusual has happened, and I can now gently rub the bridge without pain. Until recently, even brushing against it hurt like a bruise. The columella still has no sensation and feels fairly firm. It is not as hard as a surgically altered nose. At week three, the tip felt tight (I do not know whether it was the contraction phase or when scar tissue began forming). Now I have almost forgotten that my nose used to feel tight, so I do not know whether that area improved or whether I simply adapted. I want to believe it has improved haha. Before removal, I worried a lot that my tip would droop. Even so, my only goal was a natural nose after complete removal, so I will not regret my choice even if the tip droops over time. I no longer spend all day on forums like before, but whenever I drop by, I see posts from people with similar concerns, so I am sharing my progress. I never developed contracture, but after removal surgery I was prescribed two months of preventive medication, which I am still taking diligently. Surgery details: First surgery two years ago—hump reduction, lateral osteotomy, septal extension for the tip, and ear cartilage used. Removal details: complete removal; no cartilage-binding procedure.
