Nose Surgery Reviews

Two-week review of correcting an upturned, pointed nose

My previous rhinoplasty left the tip too pointed, short, and upturned, so those were the areas I most wanted to improve. I was also bothered that my overall image looked somewhat harsh because of my nose, and I wanted to change it to something more natural and soft. I learned about [Clinic A] from people around me who had surgery there, and I kept seeing it on Instagram, so I looked into it. After consulting several places, I decided to have surgery. During my consultation with Dr. Kim Hyun-joo, I explained what bothered me about the tip and how it looked upturned, and the doctor advised me on a direction that would blend naturally with my overall face. In the end, I underwent revision rhinoplasty using autologous costal cartilage. I am still recovering, so there is some swelling, but I am satisfied because the parts I wanted to improve before surgery have clearly improved. In particular, the tip no longer looks as pointed or upturned, and I like that my overall image seems softer than before. Since the swelling is still going down, I think I need to wait and see the final result.
