Before surgery, I kept saying I wanted to see my face after the swelling had completely gone down as soon as possible, but I cannot believe it has already been two weeks since surgery. It feels like I had surgery only yesterday… lol
My protruding cheekbones and generally round impression had always been complexes for me. My forehead was so wide that I had worn bangs since I was young T_T (Everyone with a wide forehead like mine knows: bangs are essential.) At [Clinic A], when reducing the cheekbones, they apparently bring the lateral cheekbone as far back as possible before cutting, so the posterior cheekbone is also reduced clearly. Since my cheekbone complex was severe, I thought I would be even more satisfied if the before-and-after difference were obvious.
As written in the title, I had cheekbone reduction, forehead reduction, and buccal fat removal together. On the day of surgery, my throat hurt much more than the surgical sites. As soon as I opened my eyes after surgery, my throat felt like it was burning, so I immediately asked for water.
Other than that, I returned to daily life faster and more smoothly than I had worried about. I still have some residual swelling, but people say cheekbone-reduction swelling can last up to six months. I am satisfied because my contour has settled so well that I do not feel it at all haha.
I had also been very concerned about the forehead-reduction scar remaining white, but the scar is truly not visible at all, so these days I wear my hair swept back every day haha.
Until one week, I felt a slight stiffness when opening my mouth, but by the second week it had improved a lot, and I can eat well when meeting friends. I already love it this much, so I am excited to see how it will look after all the residual swelling goes down.. 🧡🧡
