Deciding on nasal removal surgery was harder than deciding on my first nose surgery or revision rhinoplasty. With nose surgery, I imagined becoming prettier, but with nasal removal surgery I worried whether I could go back to my original nose. But since it had honestly been over 10 years since my surgery, I couldn’t really remember my original nose well, so I was even more worried. A sense of loss.. things like that
I’m writing this after surgery today, and I still have a splint on, so I don’t really know the shape yet, but I do feel somewhat relieved I had the silicone and septal cartilage completely removed~ Originally, if there was a risk of a saddle nose or if the columellar support was weak, they said they would reinforce it with the removed septal cartilage, but thankfully I didn’t need that, so they completely removed everything
I had surgery in the morning, but it feels like my face is swelling more and more And maybe because I had open surgery, the columellar stitches? area still hurts
I think the surgery took about 1 hour I had sedation anesthesia, but at the end I came to around the stitched area. Thankfully it was bearable
I really couldn’t sleep well yesterday because I was worried, and for two months I only looked up nasal removal reviews, and choosing a hospital felt like it was going to drive me mentally unwell..
It’s only the first day today, so I can’t say much yet, but I hope everyone can finish worrying soon, have surgery, and feel relieved! I still have to get my splint and stitches removed, and I’ll have to get through the contraction period too.. but everyone, stay strong!!!
