Why I chose [Clinic A]: I felt my lips gave an unhappy-looking impression, and my face was peanut-shaped. From the beginning, I didn't consider a plastic surgery clinic at all and only looked into oral and maxillofacial surgery. I read reviews of several hospitals, and [Clinic A] stood out because its reviews were the best, so I wanted a consultation. People usually say to visit several places for consultations before deciding, but I liked the reviews and overall impression of [Clinic A] the most. So I didn't consult anywhere else and decided to have surgery at [Clinic A] on the day of my consultation!
From the day of surgery through week 1 9/18, surgery day: They said the PCA pain-control injection could make me dizzy, so I didn't get it, but I had no pain at all. My nose wasn't blocked either, though it became slightly blocked at dawn and surprised me. They said I shouldn't sleep because I needed to wake up from the anesthesia, but I just slept lol T_T + I felt nauseous from the general anesthesia.
9/19: Still no pain, and no nasal congestion either. There was a lot of blood from my nose and mouth, so I woke up once an hour while sleeping and had to keep wiping it. I think my nosebleed didn't stop for about 30 minutes at dawn.
9/20 (discharge): Suctioning made my nose and mouth feel cleared out, which was great. I did have swelling, but no tenderness, and they said I didn't have much swelling. Maybe because the surgery was done well, I still woke up once an hour because of the nosebleed, but I had no pain or congestion, so I rested in bed while watching movies.
9/21 (day 4): After discharge, once I got home, my nose became somewhat blocked, and the swelling around my lips had gone down quite a bit.
9/22 (day 5): My nose suddenly became very swollen and congested T_T. I couldn't sleep well at dawn, but I had almost no pain from the first day onward.
9/24 (day 7): The swelling in my lower face had gone down considerably, and the swelling around my eyes had also decreased a lot. The congestion improved. Everyone says it hurts, but I wondered, why do I have absolutely no pain..? I felt much better than expected, so I returned to daily life from days 5–6, and my recovery was so good that I even did housework after coming home on the day of discharge. I think it's thanks to Dr. Kim Jong-yoon's skillful hands.
