I have sausage-like eyes, so I went around to eye clinics to lower my line. Among app reviews, I searched through every review about sausage-like eyes, regardless of whether it was two-line lowering or incisional surgery, and had consultations at a total of 6 places: ㄱㄴ, ㅅㅅ, ㅌㅇㅅ, ㅈㅇㅈㅇ, ㄱㅎㅅ, and ㅁㅅㄹㅇ. If I write about all of them, it’ll get too long, so I’ll only write reviews of the two places I’m considering among the ones I visited.
1. ㅅㅅ Consultation order: consultant > director > consultant Maybe because I went in the afternoon, the wait was on the longer side.
The consultant seemed to know how to assess eyes too; after looking at my eyes, she said the director would probably recommend two-line lowering. I still have an incisional scar along my existing double-eyelid line, and the consultant said that if I had visited the hospital where I first had surgery and received care early on, I probably wouldn’t have been left with this much scarring, which made my heart sink. She said I’d only know after getting an accurate diagnosis from the director, so to wait a little, and then I had the director’s consultation. (I think I waited about 5 minutes.)
The director looked at my eyes and said my eyelids are on the thin side, but too much skin was excised during the first surgery, so there isn’t enough spare skin to do revision surgery by incision. Because of that, there’s no choice but to lower the line with two-line lowering. He said it means incising the current double-eyelid line, creating a new line below it, and operating that way, but he also said I could develop overlapping double eyelids later. However, since the only surgery currently possible is two-line lowering, he told me to think about it. When I asked whether incision was absolutely impossible, he said very clearly that it makes no sense to say incision is possible when there’s no spare skin. He showed me a lot of before-and-after photos of people like me who had no spare skin and got two-line lowering, and the after results were better than I expected. The director said that among cases operated on with two-line lowering, my eyes are not considered a difficult case, and he seemed confident.

2. ㅁㅅㄹㅇ Consultation order: director > consultant The wait here wasn’t very long. But getting a consultation appointment was a bit difficult.
At the previous hospital, they showed me a lot of before-and-after surgical cases, but there wasn’t anything like that here. After looking at my eyes, the director said two-line lowering is originally a last resort, but my current eyes are ones where even full incision is impossible, so I’d need two-line lowering. He didn’t mark or hold a line for me. This director also said the scarring on my double-eyelid line is severe, so it would be better to re-incise the scar and lower the line. He said the goal would be to lower the current line by about half, but also said it might not lower that much. He said the scar would definitely be visible when I close my eyes, and that there’s a possibility of overlapping double eyelids. When I asked whether incision was absolutely impossible, he firmly said it was absolutely not possible. Of all the places I consulted at, this was the shortest consultation. But since it’s so famous for eye revision surgery, I’m still considering it. Among cafe reviews, there were reviews saying the director was a bit scary, so I went in nervous, but I think he’s just blunt. He’s neither kind nor unkind, but you may get hit hard with blunt facts.
