I went in to have my deep cheek fat removed, but they said it wasn’t deep cheek fat, just cheek fat, so I went ahead and had double-chin and cheek liposuction. I also asked about platysma muscle tightening, but they said I wanted it and didn’t really need it, so I didn’t do that. My submandibular salivary glands were large, so they recommended Botox and I had that done too. I got excited after the consultation and had surgery the very next day. They seemed to prefer using light anesthesia, and I felt they were trying to keep it safe. I could eat immediately after surgery and live normally enough to take a train. The swelling seemed to last three weeks. It was an impulsive surgery, but I’m still satisfied. It’s been three years since surgery and I still haven’t developed chin fat.
