My vision was around -7 and -6, so I had severe myopia, and I also had some astigmatism. I’d been wearing contact lenses since elementary school lol. My corneas were naturally on the thicker side, and my other conditions were good too, so I could have done any procedure, but I’m conservative, so I got LASEK haha. After LASEK, it felt like I found the light. First of all, the most convenient things are not having to buy a contact lens case when I’m out and not having to put on glasses as soon as I wake up in the morning.. As for side effects, I don’t have glare or halos, but I think I developed dry eyes. Before, I couldn’t understand my friends using artificial tears because their eyes were dry, but now when I look at a monitor a lot, or in winter, or near a heater or fire, or when it’s very windy, my eyes definitely get dry ㅡㅡ So if your vision is bad but your eye conditions are good, I’d rather recommend something like SMILE LASIK. Of course I haven’t tried it, but I think I got dry eyes because they had to remove a lotㅠ
