From the front, my nose looked thick and large, and from the side, the low, compressed columella bothered me. No matter how many flattering-angle photos I took, I always ended up retouching my nose T_T I didn’t want a design where only the nose became sharply pointed, so I asked the doctor to raise it only enough to harmonize with my other features, and they understood perfectly haha. My biggest concern was the compressed columella, and it was corrected so dramatically that even now I keep checking in the mirror to see whether this is really my nose lol. I absolutely hated a high line starting between the brows—an “avatar nose”—but I like the design because the bridge is moderately elevated and the focus is on the tip haha. My next concern was the large nose that stood out first whenever I looked straight into the mirror. It felt like my nose had taken over the entire center of my face. My other features weren’t particularly unattractive, but my nose kept their strengths from showing T_T So I asked for a slimmer look from the front, and the doctor shaved the side bones of the bridge to create the line I wanted. It isn’t too slim and seems just right for my facial proportions. I especially like my profile lol. I sometimes wonder whether one nose surgery can change a person this much, and I slightly regret not doing it sooner haha. I used 2 mm of silicone and autologous costal cartilage for the tip, and recovered without any problems. I was terrified that the rib-harvesting site would hurt, but it was just sore for about a week and then it stopped lol. I started wearing makeup a month after surgery, and when I posted selfies, the reaction on Instagram was amazing haha. I got lots of story replies asking why I had become so pretty, but I said I had just worked hard on my contouring lol. I only want to share that I had surgery with my very close friends. You know what I mean, right??... lol
