After<After>After<After>After<After>After<After>After<After>Before<Before surgery>Before<Before surgery>First surgery: no implant + ear cartilage + bulbous nose correction + columella correction.
When I had my first surgery, I was scared of nose surgery itself, so I chose to have it without an implant, but that was my mistake… I thought having no implant only had advantages, but there was a major downside: over time, it naturally gets absorbedㅠ Of course, it was also my fault for not looking into it properly, but the bulbous nose and columella that were corrected during the surgery also did not improve at all, so even though I paid for surgery, my complex about my nose was still there.. Of course, there are probably people who only look into no-implant surgery, but what’s certain is that it was not the right surgical method for me! I was very stressed because of my bulbous nose, so I needed a definite correction, but a no-implant surgery couldn’t create that more defined, glamorous nasal bridge..ㅠ
The biggest barrier when I was looking into revision surgery was the cost. Anyone who has gone around for consultations will relate, but revision surgery costs… the expensive places are really absurdly expensive.. It felt so burdensome that I even thought about giving up, but I still thought doing more legwork was the only answer, so I went to more consultations, and the hospital where I had surgery came within the cost range I had expected, so I ended up having surgery there. They also gave the most detailed consultation! They gave me the clearest diagnosis.
Since it was revision surgery, I worried, “Will the swelling and bruising be severe?” But with nose surgery, I really felt that skill makes a difference, because the swelling and bruising were less than during my first surgery… That part was the most fascinating too. After 2 weeks, I could visibly see the major swelling going down, and my friends around me told me the swelling had gone down a lot when it had been one month.
When I was looking for a hospital for revision rhinoplasty, I focused on whether my bulbous nose could be clearly improved, so I’m extremely satisfied with my surgical results now. Everyone, if you’re concerned about a bulbous nose too, I hope you get it done somewhere that can definitely correct it like I did! Revision surgery hurts both your heart and your wallet.. ㅜㅜ
