First of all, I had only been looking into clinics for a short time, and I had no idea what condition my nose was in, so I wanted to visit a lot of places in person and refer to the points that the directors and consultants commonly mentioned. I thought this would make me feel more at ease than reading other people’s nose surgery reviews on a computer!
My nose: - Long-looking midface (I found out later that it wasn’t actually long, but that my nasal tip was round and the forehead bone came down toward the glabella area, making it look long) - Hump - The nasal alae sit lower than the columella, giving it a dog-like nose feel - Small nostrils (my friends teased me saying don’t I have to breathe twice as much,,,^^ and that I look like Voldemort lol^^)
I had consultations at the following clinics in order: ㅇㅇㅇㅋ, ㅁㅇ, ㄷㅍㅇㅅ, ㄹㅇ
1. I&Co
I arrived a bit earlier than my reservation time, but I was taken in right away. As soon as I went in, the director was there, and he explained things briefly and dryly, kind of like he was reading from a script. The consultation ended super quickly, so I wasn’t really drawn to this place. Still, there were no excessive recommendations. He said he would use 3-4 mm silicone and do cartilage suturing. The consultant was very kind and explained the condition of my nose well. --> Slight hump (I had no idea), osteotomy, use of septal cartilage or ear cartilage to mainly lift the nasal tip. The price was the second cheapest out of the 4 places.
2. May
Maybe I felt this way because I went right after the doctor at I&Co, but the director was very kind. He touched my nose from different angles and explained things in detail while drawing pictures, so I liked that. The consultant was also very kind. At May, I consulted with the head director, and I got the feeling that he was confident in rhinoplasty.
He uses 3.5 mm silicone, and he showed me a silicone model in advance while recommending the shape. He recommended slightly lowering the columella, shaving the hump, and osteotomy.
But this was the only place that said my nostril wings were thick and that I needed alar reduction, so that one thing bothered me. Since it was the only clinic that added alar reduction, the price was about 800,000 to 1,300,000 KRW more expensive than the others.
The consultant was also very kind, and by the end we got kind of close lol Anyway, at May, I consulted with the head director, and I got the feeling that he was confident in rhinoplasty.
3. The Face After having the consultation with the second director, I went in with more information about noses. First of all, it was a 9-story building, so it was just huge.
It had the feel of a large hospital, and they said they have CCTV.
4. Rio I didn’t have a reservation here, but I remembered it was on my list, so I stopped by on the way. Originally, the consultation with the director was on another day, but since I had come all the way to Seomyeon, I thought I should at least consult with the consultant, so I did. The director here seems to have very clear personal standards, so there’s a chance he may not do the exact shape you want. But still, he seems like someone who doesn’t perform risky surgeries.
