Review of my fifth rhinoplasty revision: the scar tissue is gone and I have been doing well for six months

This was already my fifth revision rhinoplasty. I never imagined I would have surgery this many times, but after each previous surgery I kept noticing disappointing areas whenever I looked at my nose, so eventually I started researching again.. My biggest concern was that my bridge was relatively low while only the tip looked too high, making it stick out on its own like Pinocchio when viewed from the side. My columella also hung too low, making my nose look long from the front, which was stressful. On top of that, the scar tissue felt severe, so whenever I took photos or looked in the mirror, my nose was the first thing I noticed People around me often reacted, “Do you really need another surgery?” when I said it was my fifth, and I hesitated a lot too Still, I kept being bothered by the tip height, the drooping columella, and the scar tissue, so I searched for a hospital again with the mindset that this would be my last time and had the surgery at Edition Plastic Surgery. I think people who, like me, are still deliberating about their nose shape or scar tissue after multiple surgeries may relate to this review During the consultation, I wanted to focus on improvement and discuss how to reduce the parts of my current nose that looked awkward. I explained one by one that the tip looked too high, the drooping columella made it look long, and the bridge and tip were not balanced. I also mentioned that the scar tissue made my nose look even blunter. Dr. Han Dae-hee explained that he would gently balance the overall line and harmony without going too far, which reassured me:) Early after surgery, I honestly could not tell the swelling from the scar tissue, so I was worried. Because my nose had been operated on so many times, the recovery process felt sensitive, and I worried unnecessarily whenever it looked even slightly swollen As time passed, though, the tip no longer looked sharply protruding as it had before, and I could see the columella settling more naturally than before, which reassured me! The imbalance used to be severe, but now the line from the bridge to the tip looks much more comfortable The hospital also asked first whether I had any discomfort during follow-up visits and kindly answered even small questions, which I appreciated! After visiting hospitals several times, I came to consider the atmosphere and aftercare important too, and this time I felt comfortable from the consultation through the follow-ups, which gave me a lot of peace of mind~! It has now been about six months since surgery, and if I were to write another revision rhinoplasty review at this point, what satisfies me most is that my nose no longer feels disconnected from the rest of my face.. At first I paid attention every day while watching the swelling go down, but now it has become much more natural and I have almost no discomfort! Even when I touch it, the lumpy feeling caused by scar tissue has greatly decreased compared with before, so I feel relieved! The impression of the tip sticking up too high has decreased, and the nose that looked long from the front now looks much more stable Especially after about six months, it looks prettier than before, so I keep looking in the mirror.. haha The scar tissue has settled much more than before, and my overall impression looks less sharp I was more worried than excited because it was my fifth surgery, but now I am so satisfied that I do not feel the time I spent deliberating was wasted! After having surgery several times, I think the desire to “please, let me live comfortably this time~” becomes stronger than simply wanting a pretty nose.. lol What I realized while writing this revision rhinoplasty review is that for revision surgery, it is really important to accurately assess the current condition of the nose and address what is necessary rather than being greedy That is why choosing the hospital is especially important! I have now been doing well for six months without major discomfort, and the time I spend feeling stressed about my nose has definitely decreased. It was not an easy decision because it was my fifth surgery, but from my perspective, with so many concerns about the scar tissue and tip shape, everything improved well and this surgery has given me the most peace of mind If, like me, you are concerned after several surgeries because the tip looks excessively high, the columella hangs down and makes the nose look long, or you have scar tissue, I think it would help to organize exactly what you want to correct in your own nose before the consultation rather than only reading lots of revision rhinoplasty reviews. I did that too, addressing each point one by one, and now my nose feels natural, like it has always been mine!!
