1 ㅁㅇㄷ, ㅇㅇㅌ (introduced by an acquaintance): silicone + donated rib cartilage Doctor: Gave a simple consultation (it was my first consultation, so I couldn’t ask many extra questions). He felt like a professor at a university hospital. My friend who came with me said the clinic itself wasn’t to their taste, but they trusted the doctor. Consultation manager: Crossed legs and seemed a bit flippant.. Didn’t seem professional at all, and even said something along the lines of the friend who came with me being ugly It felt like a fairly large clinic, so I didn’t think I’d get very detailed care after surgery Price: On the expensive side for a first surgery + donated rib cartilage (Among the nose photos after surgery on Babitalk, I liked this place the most. Even with donated rib cartilage, it wasn’t cheap, and if you do it with autologous rib cartilage, they said it would be +200 on top ㅠ)
2 ㅇ, ㅇㅎㄱ (introduced by an acquaintance): silicone + autologous rib cartilage Doctor: Explained everything in great detail. Extremely passionate and extremely kind. Staff: I met directly with the doctor, and after the doctor consultation ended, the consultation manager was off that day, so the operating room nurse only told me the price-related details. She was very friendly and kind. Price: The cheapest compared with the other clinics No pressure to book on the same day, and the only place that did not require a review (the other places all offered discounts only if I wrote a review)

4 ㄷㅌㅁ, ㅊㅈㅎ: no implant (artificial dermis) Doctor: Seemed busy and gave a short, quick consultation Consultation manager: So-so professionalism, proud of the no-implant approach, and friendly Price: Hard to compare because it’s a completely different method from the others. Cheaper than surgeries using donated rib cartilage No pressure to book on the same day
5 ㅇㄷ, ㅊㅇㄷ: silicone + autologous rib cartilage Doctor: Explained in detail, very systematic while looking at the CT, and kind. Trustworthy Consultation manager: Professional, explained things best when I asked questions. Kind and friendly Price: Moderately expensive No pressure to book on the same day They said a guardian can watch the live CCTV during surgery I liked that the doctor specializes only in noses
6 ㅁㅋ, ㅇㅈㅈ: silicone + autologous rib cartilage I went because they said they provide 3D virtual surgery during consultation Doctor: Trustworthy, gave a simple consultation. He looked a bit tired Consultation manager: The manager’s confidence in the doctor made me trust them. Professionalism was so-so They said I’d get a discount only if I booked on the same day Price: Second most expensive after number 3
=> Because my nose is slightly bulbous, all of them also recommended nostril reduction~
=> What felt disappointing at each clinic? 1 and 3: Rather than donated rib cartilage, autologous rib cartilage seems stronger and safer, so I didn’t like that they recommended donated rib cartilage. 1: I want to change the consultation manager. It felt more like a factory than a private clinic. 1, 3, 6: The price was too high 4: No-implant surgery is safe, but I feel like my nose might not improve enough with my nose, or the dermis might get absorbed quickly
I’m torn between 2 and 5, since both recommend autologous rib cartilage and the doctors and staff seem sincere and trustworthy. 2 good points: It was introduced by an acquaintance, and the price is cheaper than clinic 5 The acquaintance recommended it as a place that does things naturally The doctor has a long career What’s disappointing: It’s a clinic that doesn’t really do promotion, so there aren’t many review photos Clinic image also matters, and I’m disappointed that it doesn’t have a sophisticated image. 5 good points: The clinic facilities are clean and sophisticated, and the system is well organized The doctor specializes only in noses What’s disappointing: From the review photos, it seems more glamorous than number 2, so it may be less natural
I’m still torn because the review-photo design for both 2 and 5 doesn’t completely win me over,..
+I also visited two more places, but their opinions were a little different from the places I had visited before, so I still can’t decideㅠㅠ

Because it’s a bulbous nose, they said if they don’t raise it with silicone and only do septal extension, it may not look obviously done They said autologous rib cartilage still has a possibility of inflammation, and rib cartilage can also contract later, so for a first surgery they use soft ear cartilage. (The places I visited before all said this is a nose that has to be done with rib cartilage, but now that they said ear cartilage is possible too, I’m confused.. When I told the doctor that the other clinics all recommended rib cartilage, they said if I was worried, they could do it with rib cartilageㅜ) Doctor: Kind. Since the consultation was after surgery, he looked a little tired. Consultation manager: All the staff were kind, and the clinic was clean and systematic A guardian can watch the live CCTV during surgery Price: +100 extra because of custom silicone, and because they don’t use rib cartilage and left out nostril reduction, the price is in a similar range to the other clinics
I’m exhausted from going to consultations and researching ㅜ It’s only a slight improvement, but if I have to worry about side effects for the rest of my life, maybe not doing it is the right choice.. I’m also not sure whether the post-surgery nose shape will suit my face
