I went through so much with my first nose surgery, so I was really struggling because of revision rhinoplasty. It was honestly so hard.
So I made up my mind to get revision surgery, and I had a consultation about a month before the surgery.
My criteria for choosing a hospital were CCTV first, CCTV second, CCTV third. Whether I could watch the CCTV or not was the most important thing.
Even if I liked everything else, if I couldn’t watch it, I passed. And during the consultation, they said, “Of course you can watch it~~~,” so now that I’ve had the surgery and there’s a bit of an issue, I asked them to show it to me.
But they said no. The reason is that I had to request it before the surgeryㅎ…. So when I asked, “Then why did you say I could?” they just keep repeating endlessly, “No, the thing is, CCTV is legally blah blah~ so that’s not possible, and if you want to watch the footage, you have to request it before surgery so it can be recorded and then you can watch it….” Also, they were unreachable for 2 days, so I called the hospital myself and I kept repeating the same thing too. I think some kind of answer will come tomorrow.
I went to a legal office, and they said I can do evidence preservation, but they’re asking for 3.3 million won. I’m debating it. Should I pay that much and do it?
No matter who looks at this, isn’t this the hospital’s responsibility? If the hospital has nothing shady going on, they could just show it and be done with it, so why are they acting like this? Does anyone know a way to resolve this other than evidence preservation?
