I visited several places for consultations because of nonunion of the cheekbones.
The director looked at my CT and explained in detail what had caused the previous surgery to fail and why my current condition had become this way.
He also went through every point about how surgery could improve it. He seemed to have extensive experience and high expertise. He said that rather than shaving off more bone, he would reposition the bones and move them inward. This could also shorten the midface, create a greater before-and-after difference, and improve asymmetry and separated bones together.
I knew the proposed method was different from what I had expected, but after receiving the consultation directly, it was definitely different.
I had many questions and asked about various things, but everything I was curious about was resolved. Although the cost was high compared with the places I visited, this was the only place where I felt I wanted to have surgery because it seemed likely to produce the greatest improvement.
