Nose Surgery Reviews

[Clinic A] community review

Since this was my first nose surgery, I was looking for a clinic that could smooth out my crooked hump while avoiding implants altogether because I was afraid of complications. I wanted to avoid large factory-style hospitals, so I made a list focused on places specializing exclusively in noses where the chief doctor handled everything from consultation through surgery, and visited them in person. When I searched online, I occasionally saw reviews saying the doctor was somewhat blunt and cold, so I was quietly quite nervous before visiting. After meeting the doctor, though, it felt less like unkindness and more like a straightforward type who calmly points out only objective facts without putting on airs. Personally, I didn't sense any sales talk meant to entice me with flashy words or unnecessary overtreatment, which made the doctor feel more trustworthy to me. During the consultation, what most strongly swayed me was the doctor's firm philosophy of putting patient safety first. After carefully examining my nose, the doctor candidly explained what could be achieved with hump correction without implants and the limits that absolutely should not be pushed. I also heard about the surgical method. The doctor said I would not be completely put to sleep as if knocked out, but the surgery would be performed while I remained slightly conscious, which initially caught me off guard. But thinking about it, I felt it might actually be good: if I could look in a mirror or check my condition during surgery and exchange direct feedback with the surgeon, we could adjust things so they would not stray too far from the direction I wanted. Of course, the quote was definitely on the high end even compared with the other clinics I visited, so it was financially burdensome. Still, since this would be my first nose surgery, the center of my face, I felt I could accept that level of investment if safety and quality were the top priorities. Even so, I don't think I should decide after visiting just one clinic, so I plan to visit other clinics before making a decision.
