I’m now in my early 30s, and since I was young, my small, low nose was a bit of a complex for me. About a month after entering college, I got nose filler, and over more than 10 years I think I got it about 3 to 4 times. But filler sank and spread faster than I expected, so that sharp, defined feeling only lasted the first 1 to 2 monthsㅠㅠ Mine spread thickly upward toward the glabella, so my nasal bridge wasn’t very high, but my impression only became stronger, which I wasn’t satisfied with. A week before surgery, they gave me an injection to dissolve the filler, so I dissolved it and then had surgery!
Since I had just left my job and was taking a break, I decided to get the rhinoplasty I had dreamed of since high school. For over a month, I researched online and went to consultations, and I had consultations at a total of 4 clinics. This place was the last one I consulted at, and I paid the deposit right on the day of the consultation lol The style the director pursues matched the style I wanted, and I liked that he explained in detail how to get the best possible shape from my nose. When I talked with the consultation manager, she said many people come through acquaintances’ referrals, so they don’t do separate promotions or ads. During my online research, I really felt that they don’t use any SNS at all, so I trusted them a bit more lol And the fact that most people come through acquaintances’ referrals, stories like mothers having surgery and later coming with their children, and the fact that there are reaaaally few reviews for the director, but looking at the few that do exist, there were almost no complaints, and even if there were, they were only things like “it’s way too natural,” made me feel even more that I should have surgery here.
I don’t remember the detailed explanation of the surgical method, but silicone was used for the nasal bridge, ear cartilage was used for the nasal tip, and since there was no columella incision, I think it was done closed. Maybe because of that, there was really no swelling or bruising. The nasal packing was removed the same day, I didn’t wear a splint, and only had taping. For about ten days with the taping on, I was confused every day, wondering if it was okay to have this little swelling and bruising. When I removed the taping, there was some bruising at the inner corners of my eyes, and the nasal tip seemed slightly swollen, but I think it’s barely noticeable. Now, on day 18 after surgery, the bruise is yellow, so it seems like it will fade quickly, and it’s easy enough to cover with concealer, so it doesn’t bother me much.
My whole family says it looks natural, like my own nose, but it has become defined and makes my features look clearer, and that it turned out really well. I think so too! Sometimes when I look in the mirror, I wonder, is it too natural? Should I have been a bit greedier and made it slightly higher? But then I remember the director saying that because my nasal alae are thin and my nostrils were originally long, if I made it higher my nostrils would become 11-shaped lol. So I think it was done just right and naturally now, and I’m totally satisfied.
