My nasal tip is gradually drooping, and the middle of my nose is protruding slightly, so I want to correct it. This would be my 4th revision surgery, and I’m planning to use autologous costal cartilage. These days they say horse cartilage is the most similar to human cartilage, so it engrafts well and has no side effects, but since it hasn’t been around for long, I’m hesitant to use it. Autologous costal cartilage is much better, right? I’m in my early 30s, and I heard autologous costal cartilage can calcify too Will it be okay?! I want to do it, but fear is getting ahead of me.
