Nose Re-Surgery

Nose removal review (2 hours after surgery...)

I had written a post on Monday saying I had put down the deposit, and I finally had surgery today. Maybe because the hospital had just relocated, the facilities were so good it was almost hotel-level... More than anything, everyone was so kind, which I really liked. They took photos and showed me around the room while reassuring me, telling me not to worry, what things would be like after surgery, how other patients had reacted, that it would go well, and the manager kept coming and going to take care of me too.. Thanks to that, I relaxed, waited, had my consultation, and then went into surgery! My current nose shape isn't completely terrible, so I kept debating between full removal vs. removing only the silicone. Somehow, right before surgery, I changed and added a bit to the surgical plan They removed the silicone, donor rib cartilage, and capsule, and because I kept wavering, I also had the tip and alar area slightly refined with ear cartilage. The director got a bit frustrated with me and spoke rather directly, lol. When I felt like they were scolding me too much, they said, "I really did speak very bluntly, didn't I?" But because of that, I felt they were confident in their surgery, and their firm explanation actually made me feel more reassured lol. It's only been 2 hours since surgery, so I can't tell yet whether it went well or if I'm okay, so I think I should at least wait until the stitches come out before talking about it. But if you have any questions, leave a comment! + But the important thing here is!! I really had my first surgery at a large, fairly famous, long-established hospital, and instead of donor rib cartilage they used mesh?? They said they don't have donor rib cartilage....... When I went for a consultation a while ago (in July), they said they would use donor rib cartilage, so some post-op visibility was unavoidable^^..... How can this happen????
