I decided to have surgery at a somewhat late age. This decision was sudden, but it was something I had been thinking about for a long time. If only I didn't have an upturned nose, I'd be a little happier... Then a friend had nose surgery. It turned out so well. I asked my friend which hospital they went to, and they said Dr. Kim Hyun-joo at RYU Plastic Surgery Clinic. I made an inquiry that day and booked the earliest available date. For about a week I was so excited, and for about another week I was worried. It was my first nose surgery, after all... I had autologous costal cartilage, autologous costal cartilage molding for the bridge, correction for a short nose, correction of the nasolabial angle, correction of a bulbous nose, treatment for rhinitis, double chin liposuction, and muscle tying. It has been a little over a month since surgery, and I am satisfied with the shape of my nose. But I also had rhinitis treatment, and I'm not sure whether it helped. My nose feels more blocked and I sneeze more often. They said it needs time, so I'll have to wait. I still feel like I'm recovering, and while I'm satisfied with the external appearance, I honestly worry about whether the inside of my nose is healing well. I dislike implants, so I had a surgery that was 100% autologous costal cartilage, and I'm pretty satisfied with that.
