Revision surgery for loosened buried-suture double eyelids

Hello

I had my first double eyelid surgery at the same clinic! I got it done in 2016 before entering university, so it lasted for a total of 4 years, from fall 2016 to fall 2020 :). I asked them to make it absolutely natural!! and it really was natural, so I was satisfied ㅠㅠ But I have severe allergies,,, the itchiness always hits me directly in the eyes, so I rubbed them often. Then they came undone..^_ㅠ Only one eye completely came undone, but as time passed, the double eyelid became fainter and thinner. I had heard somewhere that buried-suture double eyelids need to be redone every 5 years, so I got revision surgery right away!

I didn’t do any special searching and just went straight back to the same clinic. Thinking that it might come undone again after 3-4 years, I set the line very slightly higherㅎㅎ It has been a year and a half now, and I’m satisfied! But unlike the first surgery, after the revision surgery, my double eyelid lines became uneven. My recovery was so fast and the result was so natural that friends around me didn’t even know I had revision surgery, but the two lines not matching had been like that since the swelling went down ㅠㅠ I think the line was set incorrectly during surgery.

The consultation was on the faster side, and both the doctor and the consultant were moderately..^^ kind. However, what stayed in my memory was that the operating room was really not great ㅠㅜㅠㅜ Maybe because double eyelid surgery is a simple procedure, it felt like I was lying down for surgery in a spot that hadn’t been cleaned up well after the person who had surgery right before me (at the time I was nervous because I was having surgery, so I just did whatever the nurse told me to do,, but I remember the operating room itself feeling somewhat unpleasant).

Anyway, now that a year and a half has passed, I’ve adapted to the uneven eyes and am living fairly satisfied! If I need revision surgery 5 years later, I’ll do it by incision then. At another clinic!ㅎㅎ (I know SM is famous for being good at buried-suture fixation. It doesn’t seem famous for incision, so I plan to look into another clinic)
