I went in for a consultation about revision rhinoplasty with a non-open method because I wasn't happy with the straight, slightly aquiline nose from my first open rhinoplasty. When I said I wanted a semi-curved, curved nose, the doctor clearly explained the limits of the non-open method, but also said that if I still wanted non-open surgery, it would be possible by shaving only the dorsal hump and placing ear cartilage in the nasal tip.
