Oxygen treatment at the hospital after non-open nose surgery

My friend is on about day 4 after non-open nose surgery, and the hospital told her that the swelling and inflammation were so severe that she should come in every day for hyperbaric oxygen treatment and antibiotics, and that she should try not to walk around much. Can that be trusted? I had an open procedure, and after surgery they told me to walk a lot, so I kept moving around even in my room.. Is it different because it was non-open?
