This time, while I was getting nose surgery and they looked inside my nostrils with an endoscope, they said the cartilage was quite bent, so I had a functional nose surgery (deviated septum, inferior turbinate hypertrophy) included as a two-part procedure. From the beginning, I wanted no implant, so I told the director exactly what I wanted. The director also checked everything carefully and said it looked like the shape could come out well even without an implant, so I said let’s gooooo. As for the design, they said if you make it too natural, you may regret it later, so I decided to go for a pretty-but-natural style. My columella was quite drooped, which made my nose look hooked and long, so the surgery focused on that part while also correcting the bulbous nose. The staff director at D-day said that for functional nose surgery, the insurance reimbursement part is different depending on the insurance company, so it’s better to check carefully. Before the surgery, I looked into it thoroughly and confirmed the exact amount. Anyone getting functional nose surgery should definitely check this part carefully too. The director here is good, but the staff director was also super, super kind, which I liked. For the first week after nose surgery, it looked a bit obvious that I had had rhinoplasty, but around 2 to 3 weeks in, it became more natural, so I’m satisfied! It seems the swelling was the reason. I keep checking my nose by taking photos from various angles, and I especially love the side profile~! Compared to my old nose, it feels much more refined, so I think the nose surgery turned out well.
