Dental correction review

The upper right canine was protruding, so when I smiled a little, my upper lip would catch on it, and when I smiled widely, my upper lip would lift and expose the canine, which I didn’t like, so I was considering treatment. Meanwhile, one of the back molars on the inside had a large cavity, so I had been thinking of getting an implant too. Even if I had orthodontic treatment here, I was planning to get the implant somewhere else if there was a better place for that, but after the orthodontic consultation, they suggested that rather than doing the implant right away, it would be better to move the outer molar inward and use it for now, and then later, if it became too uncomfortable, reopen the space and proceed with the implant. So I went ahead that way. I had looked into this place thoroughly and chose it, so I wasn’t worried about the orthodontics, but hearing them say to delay the implant as much as possible made me feel that there really wasn’t any overtreatment at all. There was another area suspected to be decayed, and they said not to treat it immediately but to keep observing it and treat it later if needed. Ever since the orthodontic treatment, at every regular checkup they look at it first, and they keep telling me it’s still okay and that we should continue to monitor it.
