First of all, this is revision rhinoplasty for me. If I do it this time, it’ll be my second. Previously, I had silicone in the nasal bridge and my nasal tip was built up with septal cartilage, but maybe because it was weak, the tip became crooked and I didn’t like the shape, so I’m planning to have revision surgery.
I’ve chosen the clinic for the surgery, and now I’m debating the material.. For the nasal tip, I’ve decided to use autologous rib cartilage.
But I’m worried about the nasal bridge. I previously had a thin silicone implant placed, and I didn’t have any side effects, so the director naturally mentioned silicone first. But since I’m doing this anyway, I wanted something more natural and didn’t want to burden my body, so when I brought up doing it without an implant, he mentioned donated dermis? (He said my nose can be done without an implant.)
However, the downside of dermis is that it gets absorbed, so we don’t know how much my body will absorb.. But he said that if the shape changes because of that, they can change the material for 500,000 won.
If you were me, what would you do?? I’m so torn ㅠ
