I had my first nose surgery with autologous costal cartilage at a fairly large hospital (ㅇㅇㅂ), but maybe they didn't realize how small my nose was, because they put in a height that would be possible for most people, and my nose tip kept turning red, with the skin becoming so red that the blood vessels showed through. So I'm trying to revise it. The hospital said they could do AS by lowering the bridge height and reinforcing the tip with dermis, but they also said the redness might not improve. What they mean is they'd shave down the bridge material that's currently in there, put it back in, round off the columella autologous costal cartilage a bit, and reinforce it with dermis.. I'm visiting the so-called big three removal-specialist hospitals for consultations, and at ㅍㄹㅁ they said silicone will inevitably cause side effects someday, so it should be removed eventually (there are currently no silicone side effects at all). They said to preserve only the autologous cartilage at the tip, matching it to my original bridge, something like that.. They said there would be no surgical side effects, contracture, shrinkage, etc. But if I leave the nose like this and some inflammation happens later, then after that they can't know. That kind of feeling.. But I heard dermis reinforcement is an old method and not necessary? If I'm going to lower the overall height, would it be better to just get AS at the original hospital? Or should I go to another hospital for reconstruction surgery that removes the bridge silicone and keeps only the tip? Or should I do a surgery that keeps both the bridge silicone and the tip and lowers the overall height? But then I wonder if I could just do that at the original hospital too It's been about 2 and a half years since surgery. If the silicone has no problem, could I just keep it? But anyway I do have to lower the height, so that would involve separating it and putting it back in.. Then it seems like the risk of inflammation and contracture would go up, and ugh, I don't know Should I just trust ㅇㅇㅂ once more..? According to the doctor, lowering the height is nothing much..
