The reason I decided on revision nose surgery was that my nasal bridge looked crooked and because of the contracted nose symptoms. The side profile from the right and left also looked very different, which was stressful. So my goal was to balance the front view and, above all, improve it so the contraction would no longer progress. When choosing a hospital for revision surgery for a contracted nose, I first set my own criteria and looked for hospitals that matched them. I had several criteria, but they included being a clinic specializing in nose surgery, having a single lead surgeon (not a large hospital), and providing thorough aftercare while fulfilling the hospital's responsibility. I made a list of hospitals that fit those criteria and looked through their Instagram accounts and review photos to find a place where the shape of nose the doctor pursues matched the shape of nose I want. The reason I booked contracted nose surgery at Alu Plastic Surgery was that the doctor's surgical method was flawless and exactly to my liking, and the shape of nose the doctor pursues matched the shape I pursue the most. During the consultation, I was told that contraction was progressing. My original nose was naturally a bit crooked, but they said it was becoming increasingly tilted because of contraction, and that the silicone was floating. I had revision surgery for contracted nose, and the material used was autologous costal cartilage. After the revision surgery, I felt the swelling was much less than after the first surgery. During my first rhinoplasty, as soon as I woke up, my eyes felt puffed up with swelling, but during the revision surgery there was no such severe puffiness, and apart from some slight yellow bruising, there were no bruises. There was also almost no bleeding after the surgery. However, perhaps because it was a revision, until the cotton was removed after surgery, the nose felt more irritated and there was some headache-related pain compared with the first surgery. The shortened nose caused by contraction was completely improved. The columella shape was made perfectly, and above all, when looking at the side profile, the line flowing from the forehead down to the tip of the nose was really satisfying. The asymmetry of the nasal bridge was also improved almost perfectly, considering that my original nose was a little asymmetrical. There is a feeling that the nostrils are different sizes, but the first surgery also created asymmetry, and since this part doesn't bother me when I look from the front or side, overall I'm very satisfied
