It had been a while since my first surgery, but the more I looked at it, the more unsatisfied I felt with the tip of my nose, and my columella also seemed slightly tucked in, so I ended up going for a consultation about revision rhinoplasty. The consultation was more thorough than I expected. They first felt around my current nose and explained why it had taken this shape, and said that rather than simply making it higher, it was important to create a line that suits the face. They also looked at the CT with me and explained the condition of the existing cartilage and which materials could be used, so it was easy to understand. I asked a lot of questions, but they didn’t brush anything off and explained each one carefully, so I gained trust. It was revision surgery, so I was nervous for no reason, but I actually appreciated how honestly they explained the possible range of improvement and the limitations. I’m still planning to get one more consultation somewhere else before making my final decision, but for now, the place I visited today had a pretty high level of consultation satisfaction. I told them I thought I’d need to visit several places because it was revision surgery, and the doctor told me to look around without pressure and decide comfortably.
