I was told when booking that the consultation would take 1 hour.
There is a consultation fee of 10,000 won (even if you only consult with the manager and not the doctor, the fee still gets added).
I went in, put on nipple patches, and the manager first explained how much would be taken off. That took about 5 to 10 minutes?
Of course the price was higher than what I saw on the app, and they said that if I had surgery that same day, not just made a same-day reservation, they would match the amount I wanted.
I said it was my first consultation today and that I wanted to visit other places too. - They said the other places would probably be similar, so I would likely choose the cheapest one anyway. If I did it here, I would definitely be satisfied.
Even after I politely said no, they kept pressing, so I said I would not do same-day surgery even if the price went up.
Then they were just going to hand me a business card and send me off, so I asked, "I do not get to consult with the doctor?" They said I would have to wait 40 minutes because the doctor was in surgery..
I said I had another appointment and could not wait that long, and when I asked what would happen with the consultation fee, they said the fee applies just for consulting with the manager... haha. And they blamed me for not choosing a specific doctor~!
I said over the phone I had been told the ultrasound consultation fee was 10,000 won, and they said the text message probably only said consultation fee, so I agreed, fair enough, haha.
But charging 10,000 won when I could not even consult with the doctor feels wrong, does it not? After consultations at other hospitals, they tell you to come back later for the doctor if you have time, but who would want to go? There are plenty of other hospitals.
If they are going to charge a consultation fee for only talking with the manager, at the very least they should show before-and-after photos of cases similar to mine. They spent less than 10 minutes on actual consultation about my body, and the rest was same-day surgery pressure and hospital self-praise... 10,000 won for that is honestly not even worth 3,000 won.
