I had LASIK 10 years ago, and although my corrected vision was 1.5, my past eyesight was severe myopia at -15 diopters, so even now after 10 years I am still around 0.3? I usually wear glasses, and since there was a time when I literally could not see anything like someone blind, I am happy with how things are now.
