It has been 7 years since I had LASEK. I do not know about other side effects, but I am sure there is some light sensitivity glare. Still, the convenience is much greater, so I would still recommend it. After LASEK, until the third day I could not even open my eyes and only cried tears every day, but exactly after 3 days, it was a completely new world.
