11-year LASIK review

I had LASEK right after the CSAT when I was 19. My eyesight was so bad that it was basically blind-level, and the doctor said I could only do LASEK. But the test results showed I had dry eye, so they said dry eye could get worse after surgery. For the first 3 days after surgery, it hurt so much it was like my eyes were burning and because I couldn’t see anything, there was nothing I could do, so I listened to Cultwo Show a lot on YouTube.. For the first year after surgery, dry eye was really hard on me, but at some point it got better. Even now, if I’m in a very dry environment or get tired, my eyes do get dry, but not to the point that it interferes with anything. My vision is still 1.0 in both eyes, but about 3 years ago they said I had glaucoma in my left eye.. I’m not sure whether that has any connection to LASEK.. Anyway, I’ve been managing my eye pressure well with drops, so it hasn’t gotten worse and it doesn’t interfere with daily life or anything. Still, I have no regrets about getting LASEK.. My advice is that even after surgery, you should definitely get a regular checkup once a year, or at least once every 2 years. They said once the optic nerve is damaged, it can’t be restored, so regular checkups are the answer.
