10-year LASIK review

I had LASEK in February 2015, during the Lunar New Year holiday, so I had plenty of days off.I did it in Gangnam, and since it had kind of a factory-clinic feel, it seemed to finish quickly.It was done with serum eye drops made in advance, and I think it cost in the 1 million won range.My astigmatism was severe and my vision was minus-level, so my eyesight was generally very bad, but right after LASEK it went up to 1.5, then gradually dropped, and because I didn't manage it well it's now holding at 1.0.I really remember it feeling like thousands of needles were stabbing my eyeballs, and like they were burning, so I kept doing cold compresses the whole time..The side effects are dry eye and worsened sensitivity to bright light (sunlight, lighting, etc.), so when light suddenly hits me hard, it feels like my eyes are getting blasted..?But the satisfaction is the absolute highest, and I've never regretted it (though I did regret it a little while recovering because it hurt like crazy)I think I understand why people say, in one voice, that LASIK or LASEK feels like a whole new world once it's done.It has been 10 years for me, but medicine has advanced that much too, so I wonder if the surgical methods are even better now
