It has been almost a month since I had SMILE LASIK here, and I cannot see up close at all... When I asked, they said of course it would not be the same as before. But they should have told me that before surgery. If they do not say that, how is anyone supposed to know their vision will not work and still go get LASIK surgery? They said they usually do not mention things like that. People live looking at smartphones and monitors these days, so is refractive surgery not supposed to consider quality of life?;; I am a woman in my 30s with mild myopia of -2 diopters and almost no astigmatism. I had what people call the ideal myopia for surgery, yet both Director Joo Cheon-gi and Director Joo Jong-su did not tell me about the downside for presbyopia. They said SMILE LASIK was the best. After surgery, I am suffering from severe glare, difficulty focusing, reduced contrast sensitivity, and trouble seeing up close. I cannot see nearby things so well that I can barely work, and I do not know how I am supposed to live now.. If someone had only told me that near vision would get worse, I would never have done this surgery. Do not casually get refractive surgery, especially SMILE LASIK. *As of July 12, it has been 3 months and the side effects like glare are exactly the same. Do not get the surgery under any circumstances.
