It has almost been 6 years since I had the lens implanted. Before that, I also had severe dry eye, so I could not wear soft lenses and endured 6 years in the uncomfortable hard lenses. After the surgery, I am so comfortable and happy now. At the place where I had the surgery, they say that in principle, if there are no problems, the lens can be worn until cataracts occur? But when I go to the neighborhood clinic for occasional checkups, they say it should be removed or replaced after 10 or 15 years... Which one is right? It was expensive even back then, so it does not make sense that it would only last 10 years. If anyone knows, please let me know..
