9-year review of SMILE LASIK

When I had just started working and was waiting for assignment, I just got SMILE LASIK in nearby Jeonju because I heard recovery was fast and pain was low. It has been about 9 years, so I do not remember the exact price, but I think it was somewhere between 1.2 and 1.8 million won (mom came through). My eyesight had already been bad for about 10 years, and I had been wearing corrective lenses plus cosmetic lenses for about 8 years, so I already had dry eyes and was someone who lived with artificial tears. It was a time when side effects from LASIK were being talked about everywhere, so I was very worried, but after the surgery it felt like a whole new world.. The anesthesia for the surgery was also done with eye drops, and I could see the surgery happening, but it was blurry (honestly, I could barely see anything), so there was absolutely no pain or fear. After the surgery, opening my eyes was almost impossible, so having a companion was absolutely necessary. That evening I had a slight stinging feeling, so I took the prescribed painkiller and went to bed early, and when I woke up I remember being moved because I could see the clock hanging in my room.. I could see so well starting the next day that I highly recommend it to office workers who cannot take many days off. However, maybe because it was a side effect, nighttime glare is severe, so driving at night is a bit difficult, but I got used to it and it was manageable in its own way. To prevent my eyesight from getting worse, I almost never looked at my phone in the dark before sleep at night, and even now, 9 years later, my vision is still maintained at 1.0 to 1.2 apart from glare at night and dry eyes (the dryness was already there).
