1. When reading, my focus is off and I feel dizzy. 2. My eye function has declined. My eyes are so different from before surgery. 3. Night vision has worsened. The reduced contrast sensitivity means I can’t distinguish objects. It’s much harder to see than before surgery. 4. Motion vision has declined. I can’t see things moving quickly past me. 5. From morning until 3 p.m., no matter how many artificial tears I put in, my eyes are cloudy, and both near and far vision are severely blurry like astigmatism. I didn’t even have astigmatism before surgery, so the image quality that used to be 4K is now 240p. Frustrating. 6. Daytime light glare and indoor light glare are severe. I can understand it at night, but I don’t know why there’s glare during the day when my pupils aren’t even enlarged. Car and motorcycle headlights and taillights look distorted and burst apart. The same goes for indoor lights; round lamps spread out into starbursts and look like dandelion fluff. What a strange world. It is kind of a new world though. I’ve never seen anything like this ^^

Orthodontic Reviews@ortho-reviewJul 28 8-year LASIK review with zero pain (-6.5 -> 1.0)
Eight years ago, the owner of a cafe near my university recommended it to me, so I saved up my part-time job money and got it done. According to the owner, they had had it done about 20 years earlier, it wasn’t painful, and even up to that
Orthodontic Reviews@ortho-reviewJul 27 It’s been 10 years since my lens implant surgery and I’m doing so well.
I had lens implant surgery, and the aftercare was also good. The director who performed my surgery is not there anymore now, but another doctor took over and I’ve been getting good follow-up care. I’m so satisfied that if I were born…
Orthodontic Reviews@ortho-reviewJul 27 Current vision 8 years after LASIK
8th year after LASEK Right after the surgery, my vision was 1.0 / 1.0. I don't know why, but compared to the friend who had surgery with me, my vision did not come out as well. I think theirs was 1.2 / 1.2... Anyway, it has been 8 years…
Orthodontic Reviews@ortho-reviewJul 27 3 Years After SMILE Lasik
Before LASIK my vision was 0.2 and 0.1, and after LASIK it was 1.2 and 1.0. Up until the 1-year mark I had light glare and dry eyes, and the dryness was very severe. From the 2-year mark onward, the light glare disappeared completely, but…
Orthodontic Reviews@ortho-reviewJul 26 Worry is a luxury! I found my light!
I lived for 20 years with glasses that had been compressed three times plus circle lenses. I couldn’t even enjoy water activities properly once. After going to a pool or the beach, I would get eye infections basically every time, probably…
Orthodontic Reviews@ortho-reviewJul 26 SMILE LASIK
My eyesight was bad, and I wore contacts until my mid-20s, but it got too annoying and my eyes became too dry, so I got SMILE LASIK. I did it after hearing people around me who had LASIK or LASEK say it was like a whole new world, and it…
