3 Years After SMILE Lasik

Before LASIK my vision was 0.2 and 0.1, and after LASIK it was 1.2 and 1.0. Up until the 1-year mark I had light glare and dry eyes, and the dryness was very severe. From the 2-year mark onward, the light glare disappeared completely, but if my eyes stay awake for more than 12 hours, they start drying out rapidly. It’s still the same in year 3. But once my eyes start to get tired, it feels like I’m not just closing them naturally anymore, but kind of flipping them shut.. It feels like the eye fatigue has become quite intense. Still, I absolutely don’t regret the surgery.. I’m living with the mindset that I’ll just keep using artificial tears. Actually, the cornea can be treated twice, but thinking about it getting even drier and more tiring than this, I don’t think I could do it a second time. I’m planning to make the most of this one time and then wear glasses again.
