Reason for choosing the hospital I went to consultations at several hospitals, but the director was extremely thorough and attentive. The atmosphere in the hospital was not chaotic. I liked that there was almost no waiting time when I made an appointment. There are many hospitals where even if you book, you still wait a long time, and that kind of thing is secretly stressful and wastes a lot of time, so personally it was the worst, and that part played a big role in choosing the hospital. Hospitalization after surgery While I was hospitalized, the nurses changed the drainage containers for me on their own and kept coming and going to check on me, so there were no major inconveniences. Uncomfortable points after discharge The most difficult part was the feeling that my face was going to burst, and not being able to brush my teeth as usual was quite inconvenient. Taking medicine was harder than I expected too. -> Practicing drinking water a lot after surgery really helps. Recovery process For about 2 weeks, I slept sitting up. The intermaxillary fixation rubber bands really need to be done properly. I wore them all the time except when brushing my teeth or eating. Never do anything the hospital tells you not to do, and it is important to follow exactly what they tell you to do. Swelling and current condition The swelling dropped a lot after 3 months. I am also undergoing orthodontic treatment at the same hospital, and the pin removal will also be done here. Final words Do not stress too much when looking in the mirror, and if you are worrying about surgery, I recommend not delaying and getting it done sooner. However, if it is only for purely cosmetic reasons, I think it is better not to do it.
