I had severe malocclusion since I was young, so after a lot of deliberation I eventually ended up getting double jaw surgery from Director Kim Jong-yun at Reason Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery! My local dental clinic, where I was currently getting orthodontic treatment, recommended Reason Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, so I went in right away for a consultation. They explained the direction for improving my bite and facial shape in a very realistic way, which made me trust them, and the fact that my functional issues could improve too was what made me decide to go ahead. It has been 2 months, and as the swelling in my upper cheeks has visibly gone down a lot, my facial line feels clearly more defined. The awkward and uncomfortable feeling in the muscles inside my mouth and gums when I first spoke has also gradually loosened over time, so now it is improved to the point that I barely think about it. I recently started orthodontic treatment too, and since it is part of the process of aligning my bite after surgery, eating has become much more comfortable. Recovery has gone so well that I do not really feel as if I had surgery in daily life, so I am quite satisfied. They say it is still in the process of settling, so I am looking forward to even more natural changes, and if you are worried about double jaw surgery, it might be good to think about functional improvement and facial balance together.
