Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

Still happy after surgery for a witch chin with Yangyoon 3

It’s already been half a year since I had double jaw surgery and the 3-type contouring surgery (square jaw, chin, and cheekbones). Before surgery, I was really not confident about my side profile. The protruding chin, the so-called “witch chin,” caused me a lot of stress. I was so concerned about how my side line looked to other people that whenever I took photos I always turned my head or insisted on only facing forward. Especially when I smiled, my chin seemed even more prominent, so I couldn’t smile brightly without worrying. In the end, I decided to make a big change and break through my complex. I really visited and researched a lot of hospitals, but I was drawn to the title that they focus on only one case per day, so I chose YG Oral Surgery. Even during the consultation, it wasn’t the kind of recommendation that pushes you to make everything flashy; instead, they shaped the most natural line to match my facial proportions, and I immediately felt trust. They were also honest about the risks and recovery period, which made me trust them even more. At 6 months in, the most satisfying thing is definitely the swelling. At first, every time I looked in the mirror I wondered if that was really my face, and I did feel some post-op frustration, but the saying that time heals really fits. Around the 6-month mark, most of the big swelling had gone down, and the hidden line started to show. Once the uneven side profile was smoothed out, my face shape looks softer even without a camera filter. Eating is now a whole new world too. At first I struggled just to swallow liquids, porridge, and steamed eggs, but now I can chew and eat crunchy foods like cubed radish without any problem. Of course I still avoid very chewy meat or obviously hard foods, but most regular meals are fine, so choosing what to eat when I go out has become much easier. When I meet friends after a long time, everyone says the image change was a huge success and keeps asking why my facial line looks so much softer. Even my family, whom I see every day, says I’m becoming more natural day by day. Before, I used to avoid cameras as soon as I saw one, but these days I can confidently take side-profile photos too. My self-esteem has gone up a lot, and I really feel like I made the right choice getting surgery!
