6-Month Review After Surgery for Underbite and Facial Asymmetry

Hello! This is my 6-month post-op review: Before surgery, I was worried about facial asymmetry and an underbite, so I tried to fix it with orthodontics because I was scared of double-jaw surgery, but as expected it failed and I ended up having double-jaw surgery!! There was really no answer other than double-jaw surgery. To improve the asymmetry, I had double-jaw surgery at [Clinic A], and I also had square jaw surgery and chin surgery because I had a receding chin The reason I chose [Clinic A] was that the surgeon’s experience was the most important thing to me. Since it was a major surgery, safety came first. Having 20 years of experience and being able to view CCTV also made me feel reassured~! The second reason was that the doctor’s aesthetic sense seemed to match mine well. Safety is important, but if I’m going to do it, I want it to turn out pretty too. Looking at the photos of people who had surgery there through the reviews, the results looked very natural and pretty to me!! Also, the detailed explanations during consultation and the kindness were reasons I chose [Clinic A]. The results after surgery were extremely satisfying My mouth just came in so naturally, as if I had only had orthodontics!!! My friends were shocked at how natural it looked, and my young nieces and nephews said their aunt looked different and prettier even though they couldn’t tell exactly what changed^^ Now, 6 months later, I’ve recovered a lot and there are almost no restrictions on eating. I can even chew pickled radish cubes At 3 months, I ate chicken radish without knowing any better and got scolded by the doctor because the pins could break… Compared with the 3-month mark, there hasn’t been a huge change (I was already fine in daily life by then), but it feels like the swelling under my nose has gone down a lot. Maybe my upper lip feels a little fuller? It might just be me, but it definitely feels less swollen! Before, I hated taking photos and even when I had to, I’d cover my mouth, cover my chin, or take pictures with a mask on... In short, I put all my attention into hiding things, but now I just smile brightly and take pictures without worrying about that! I’m terrible at selfies, so my photos aren’t as good as other people’s, but isn’t it about self-satisfaction I think this was the best decision of my life, to the point that the time and money I spent don’t feel wasted at all!
