I had double-jaw surgery with Director Kim Jong-yoon at Lee Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and I’m now 2 months out. Because I had a long face, asymmetry, and a receding chin all at once, I felt that orthodontic treatment alone had its limits, so I finally decided to go through with double-jaw surgery. Just like other people, I carefully compared several clinics. Lee Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery had naturally good before-and-after results, and after looking into the director’s experience, I felt trust in them. The fact that they only do one surgery per day was also a big factor, and having orthodontics in the same building made it convenient to continue orthodontic care before and after surgery. Since I’m only 2 months out now, my facial expressions when I smile are still not completely natural. But because it hasn’t been long since surgery, it doesn’t bother me too much, and I can clearly see that the side profile and facial lines have been refined, so my satisfaction keeps going up. After double-jaw surgery, my facial proportions themselves feel more balanced, so my overall impression has become much softer. The biggest thing is that I worry less when taking photos than before. Thinking about how it will become even more natural in the future is exciting, and as my bite settles, I expect everyday life will become more comfortable too!
