Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

Jaw joint pain and strong impression: a 507-day review after maxillofacial surgery plus 3 types of contouring, showing a softer change

This is a 507-day follow-up review after maxillofacial surgery, cheekbone surgery, square jaw surgery, and chin surgery. I had the surgery on January 17, 2025, and now 507 days have passed. Time really seems to have gone by very quickly. In fact, I had been considering maxillofacial surgery since I was young. When I was a child, I wore a Frankel appliance, but I did not get the results I had hoped for, and because of the feeling that my jaw was not fitting properly and my complex about my face, I always lacked confidence. So I thought I would definitely need maxillofacial surgery someday, and after becoming an adult and going through many worries, I decided to have the surgery. After deciding on the surgery, I consulted at several university hospitals and private hospitals, but there were parts that left me feeling unsatisfied. Then I had a consultation at Yangyundol Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and from the consultation process itself I felt trust, and the medical staff explained everything in detail and kindly, so I decided to have the surgery there. Right after the surgery I had swelling and discomfort, but things gradually improved over time, and now, 507 days after surgery, I am almost completely recovered. In the beginning, the swelling made it hard to see the changes, but after a few months the facial line naturally settled, and now people who do not know I had surgery think I simply became prettier in a natural way. Recently I also completed removal surgery for the fixation pins without any problems. I was a little nervous before the pin removal, but it was not as burdensome as I had expected, and I was able to recover without any major discomfort afterward. I am even more satisfied because everything from the surgery to the pin removal has been completed well. Above all, the doctors and nurses at the hospital took really careful care of me throughout. Every time I visited, they kindly explained what I wanted to know, and they carefully checked the parts I was worried about during recovery, so I felt reassured. The surgery itself is important, but the attention and care from the medical staff during recovery was really a big help. Now the discomfort I felt from my jaw not fitting well has been greatly improved, and I have much more confidence than before when taking photos or meeting people. As time goes by, the surgical results have become even more natural and my satisfaction keeps increasing. Looking back, it took a very long time to decide on the surgery, but now I do not regret that choice. I am very satisfied not only with the external changes, but also with the functional improvements and the confidence I gained. I think having the surgery at Yangyundol Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery was a good decision, and I hope my review can be of some help to anyone who has been deliberation over it for a long time like I did.
