This was a case where I considered double jaw surgery for cosmetic reasons rather than functional discomfort. When I took photos, my lower face looked a bit prominent, and the area around my mouth also looked slightly protruded, which was quietly stressful for me. Especially hearing that I looked a bit intense when I had no expression was something I disliked What I’m most satisfied with after surgery is that the overall balance of my face became really soft! Before, the lower-face area seemed to stand out first, but now the eyes, nose, and mouth all harmonize naturally. The mouth protrusion was also refined without being excessive, and since the jawline became smoother, my whole impression looks much softer lol. I had it done at Jaea Dental Clinic, and Dr. Kang Young-ho, the chief surgeon and a PhD and Seoul National University oral and maxillofacial surgery specialist, consulted with me. He explained the bone condition and nerve line in great detail while looking at the CT, which I liked. His style wasn’t to push surgery no matter what, but to explain things so I could understand clearly why it should be done this way, which made me trust him. And there was no pressure to pay a deposit right away on the day of consultation; they told me to think it over 충분히 and decide, so I could consult with peace of mind. There was also no feeling of them only talking about costs, which made it better! After surgery, they kept providing swelling care such as SmartLux and radiofrequency laser, so recovery stress was less than I expected! Overall, I was satisfied because they seemed to systematically handle even the aftercare.
