Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

3-month review after double jaw surgery!!

Since I was young, I received consultations at several orthodontic clinics because of my malocclusion, but I was told that orthodontics had its limits. At that time I was too young and never considered surgery at all. But as I entered middle and high school, my long jaw and underbite gradually became more and more noticeable, and I started feeling stressed. I became afraid of other people looking at my side profile, and even taking photos felt scary. Then, as I became an adult, I wanted to get rid of my complex, so I decided to have double jaw surgery and contouring type 2 (square jaw, chin) at [Clinic A]. Before surgery, I was scared and emotionally drained if someone looked at my side profile, but after surgery I don’t feel any fear at all even if someone looks at my side profile, and in fact I now hope they look at my side profile rather than my front. I also didn’t like taking photos before, but now I can take them freely and go about my days happily. Above all, the fact that my stress about my appearance is gone makes me so happy. Until the 1-month mark, what was hardest was not pain so much as discomfort and being unable to eat properly, which left me hungry. From the 2-month mark, I was honestly happy just to be able to eat. I still couldn’t eat hard or chewy foods, but simply being able to eat was enough to make me happy. From the 3-month mark, I could eat meat, hamburgers, and fried chicken, and it felt so good. Also, by 3 months a lot of the swelling had gone down, so when I looked at my side profile in the mirror I was truly happy. I kept thinking, is this really my face? and that made me feel great. After the first surgery, at 1 month, people around me couldn’t really tell because my face was still very swollen, but they said my jaw seemed shorter. By 2 months, my friends immediately said my face looked smaller and my jaw looked shorter, and they were really amazed. They told me I was really right to have the surgery. My parents were also very happy that I no longer felt stressed about my jaw. Before surgery they were very scared and worried because it was a risky operation, but now they are more satisfied than anyone. Now I’m living the same daily life as before surgery, and there are truly zero inconveniences from the surgery in my everyday life. And now that my complex is gone, I’m living such a happy daily life, and I can live without any fear even when someone looks at my side profile. In fact, I want people to look at my side profile haha I really think I’m glad I had double jaw surgery! I truly recommend it!
