Severe asymmetry, went in for braces and ended up getting double jaw surgery lol

Hello~ I originally went to the dentist just to get braces, but they told me that the asymmetry was more severe than I thought, so I ended up having double jaw surgery and contouring three procedures (cheekbones, square jaw, chin) too.At first I was honestly a bit shocked. I thought braces alone would be enough, but suddenly hearing about such a big surgery was scary, and I wondered if I really needed surgery at all.Still, every time I took photos of my face, I was so stressed out from hiding my facial angle or jaw and trying to find a flattering angle that I felt like I was slowly losing myself. My side profile was my complex, so after 계속 고민하다 I finally got a consultation at W Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and decided to go ahead with double jaw surgery and contouring surgery.But time passed and I gradually got better, and I tried to take care of myself as the clinic instructed.So I didn’t even realize three months had already passed lol My face line was cleaned up so well, and my friends were like, what changed about your face, are they suspicious? They said the change was easy to see.Now that I’m at the 3-month mark, there’s still quite a bit of swelling, but it already feels a lot like my own face. lol I can hardly remember how my face looked before anymore It’s improved a lot, and even when I smile it looks much more natural.The biggest changes I notice are the side line of my face and the jaw that was out of alignment.Before, when taking photos, I’d only shoot from one side of my face or lower my head to hide it, but now I can take pictures without thinking and they come out fine, and my face looks okay. This has reduced a lot of the stress I used to feel when taking photos. lol People around me also say my impression has become softer and my face looks more refined, and I’ve heard a lot that the surgery turned out well.Honestly, since I look at myself in the mirror every day, I don’t feel like I’ve changed drastically, but compared with old photos, it’s definitely different.Now my daily life is almost completely comfortable, and I can eat pretty much anything. There’s not really anything that bothers me much. Aside from the orthodontic part, I’m living normally.Before surgery I was really worried, but now that I think about it again, I’m glad I did it. Rather than becoming a completely different person, it feels like my face was refined while keeping its own character, so I’m completely satisfied.
