Hello everyone!! I had implant removal surgery haha I had surgery on Monday, so this is my 3-day update!!
First, one year ago I had bulbous-nose correction without an implant and had the tip slightly raised with ear cartilage, but maybe the cartilage tie was too tight... the tip was lifted too much and became a short nose that did not suit my face (in my opinion) T_T Also, maybe because it was pulled up too much or because too much fat was removed from the tip, once the swelling went down after a year the ear cartilage showed through and became prominent. When it had only been a short time after surgery, the nose was not really my nose yet, so I had to wait for the swelling to go down and think about it, and in fact once the swelling went down it became very natural and okay, but the feeling of the nose I saw right after surgery did not change much for me either (the nostrils are too visible from the front, it looks like a short nose, the tip looks too high, etc.). My friends said it looked fine and natural, but in photos and videos it came out too pointy and the asymmetry of the nostrils stood out, so while I was stressed by all of that and the cartilage was showing, I decided to just remove everything!! haha
Even though it is called full removal, it was only the cartilage tie sutures and ear cartilage, but right now I feel like I am going to fly away T_T T_T It feels so relieving, and now that the packing is out I feel like I can do anything lol I had it removed today, and last night it felt so stuffy and unbearable that I endured it by hitting my thighs haha... especially after the cartilage tie, the center of my nose felt so cramped? There was a foreign-body feeling, and it felt like someone was holding the center of my nose tightly and not letting go T_T I am so glad that is gone!!!! When I had nose surgery, the tenderness was also severe and there was constant pain, but aside from the stinging at the stitched area, I do not think I have much pain The swelling is bad though ^^...
But removing everything does not mean I am free from nose worries! There can still be a remaining step-off or wrinkle at the tip where the ear cartilage had been showing, and when they checked during surgery, they said my alar cartilages are asymmetric In such cases the nostrils may continue to look uneven, and depending on the case the contour of the alar cartilage can show. Because they are uneven, one side can look lower or twisted as it is, and the difference may remain visible. The nostril bulbs may not be uniform and there can be differences too... and like some celebrities, the split of the alar cartilage at the tip may even be visible to the naked eye They said they would review those parts later and maybe get fillers or something, but lol... honestly I just want my nose to heal on its own in a nicely balanced way Before surgery, because it was a bulbous nose and there was a lot of fat in the nose, maybe it did not show. Do the fleshy parts of the nostrils not fill back in? If anyone else had full removal like me and was told their alar cartilages were asymmetric, please tell me what happened
Anyway, the conclusion is that nose surgery, one way or another, means you have to bear full responsibility for the result yourself, and I feel that the risks are not just contracture or inflammation. I also thought, since mine was just an implant-free surgery with a slight tip lift, and no silicone, it would be okay haha, but there are all kinds of side effects. My rhinitis also got worse It is a relief after the full removal, but if you are considering nose surgery, I hope you carefully think about the various possible side effects before deciding!
It is only day 3 so the swelling is too severe for me to really look at my nose... lol I will post another update later once the swelling goes down a bit!!
