First, this is an old story and the post gets long, but thank you for reading ^^ It may be unpleasant, but I am uploading photos from when it had improved somewhat.^^ After hearing a brutally honest review of a friend's open nose surgery in the past, I got scared and could not go through with nose surgery. There were HIKO, MISKO, and many others, but about 10 years ago I was tempted by an ad saying the nose could be refined with dissolvable threads without opening, so I got a procedure called Bayco. (It did not change much, so people around me did not know lol) Looking back now, I was really ignorant When I drank alcohol or got tired, I felt discomfort between my gums and the inside of my lips, and it only bothered me at those times, but 6 to 7 years ago the thread that had supposedly dissolved suddenly protruded into my mouth ㄷㄷㄷㄷ I was scared, so I looked up the clinic that had done the procedure, but it had already closed (sigh... when I searched online back then, there was already a cafe for sharing side effects) I went to Gangnam for a consultation, and they said the protruding part was not even inflamed, so I only needed to manage it well If I wanted removal, the open removal procedure at that time was quoted at around 7 million won. It was not actually okay, but I kept telling myself it was okay and forcing positive thoughts to get through it (Looking back now, maybe I just did not want to tell my parents about a simple procedure followed by open surgery for removal. They were the kind of people who would say, from the beginning, why touch it at all, just live with what you were born with ^^) Then I lived together with that protruding thread for years and got married and even became pregnant? But around 7 to 8 weeks, it first appeared as a small pimple on the tip of my nose, and later it turned into a pustular pimple that was festering from inside Something felt seriously wrong, so I went to OB-GYN, and they told me to go to dermatology. Dermatology said OB-GYN had to handle it.... Then orthopedics said no too General surgery told me to go to plastic surgery, and in the end I got a referral to a higher-level hospital, but there was no obstetrics department, so plastic surgery would not accept me.. I waited one and a half months for a university hospital appointment (they also refused by phone at several hospitals) At that point, what became scarier than the surgery and removal itself was that no hospital would accept me. In the meantime, my nose would swell, pus would build up, the skin would tear open on its own, and blood and pus would flow out. At the maternity hospital they finally disinfected it and gave me medicine, but blood and pus kept coming out anyway... In the end I just gave up (about a month and a half of medicine and disinfection) Then I finally contacted the hospital I had once looked into for thread removal, after forgetting about it for a while, and they told me to come in right away. I went, had a consultation, and they immediately checked with OB-GYN about the medications to use during surgery and the oral medicines too, so I was able to have the surgery under local anesthesia. I was truly, truly grateful Honestly, maybe because I had already suffered so much mentally, the surgery itself did not feel scarier anymore. Of course, during the surgery I felt like my nasal bone might break in the middle, but I was awake during the surgery and could speak, so there was no problem lolol There were a lot of threads inside my small nose, and there was also a non-dissolving filler, so I really experienced how the bridge of the nose could disappear like that And on top of that, the inflammation at the tip of the nose was severe, so it collapsed... After delivery, I think I will need reconstruction with autologous dermis, but if I said I was not worried, that would be a lie I had the removal, but I am also worried that I may not be able to reconstruct it. I will have to undergo a final revision, haha. It would have been nice to know about autologous dermis earlier, but well, the past is the past. Just thinking about the inflammation is horrific. Everyone, if you feel even a little discomfort, please make sure to go for a consultation There are acute and chronic inflammations too. If you have any more questions, ask me. I will tell you everything I know
